Commercial 27 1/2 - 50 Ton Rooftops !http://energywebsolutions.net/img/1909/5264.jpg! This line of package units begins with 27½ and includes 30, 35, 40, and 50 Ton units. This factory assembled product is available in cooling-only or in heating/cooling combination models. A package unit is a heating or cooling unit that is self contained. h2. Trane Micro ... Reliable by Design. The Trane Micro was developed with only two thoughts in mind: reliability and comfort. The Micro provides for all unit control whether it be heating, cooling, economizing, or ventilating. It eliminates compressor short cycling and guarantees minimum run times so that the compressors will always be ready to provide the comfort you expect. Fewer moving parts in the control system means fewer old-fashioned electromechanical parts to fail and improved system reliability. Many of the components that in the past had to be bought and added to the system on site are now an integral part of the Micro, things like "anti short cycle timers" and "time delay relays". In the unlikely event that something does go wrong, on-board diagnostics are there to assist in troubleshooting and getting you back on-line fast. h2. 3-D® Scroll Compressors *Reliability*... Built Into the Heart of the Machine. *Simple Design* - The compressor is the heart of any air conditioner and Voyager™ Commercial units feature the Trane designed and built 3-D® Scroll for ultimate reliability. The 3-D Scroll has 64% fewer parts than equal capacity reciprocating compressors. This means significant reliability and efficiency benefits; the single orbiting scroll eliminates pistons, connecting rods, wrist pins, and valves. It also means less friction and greater efficiency than reciprocating compressors. *Patented 3-D Compliance* - The most outstanding feature of the Scroll compressor is its 3-D Compliance that allows liquid refrigerant or dirt to pass through without damage. Things that would lead to the demise of an ordinary reciprocating compressor are of little consequence to the Scroll. *Excellent Part-Load Efficiency* - The Scroll compressor's unique design allows it to be applied in a passive parallel manifolded piping scheme, something that a "recip" just doesn't do very well. When the unit begins stage back at part load it still has the full area and circuitry of its evaporator and condensor coils available to transfer heat. In simple terms this means superior part-load efficiencies (IPLV) and lower unit operating costs. *Low Torque Variation* - The torque variations in a Scroll are only 30% that of comparable reciprocating compressors and make the Scroll an inherently smooth performer. Low torque variation also means less stress on the compressor motor for greater reliability. *A Proven Performer* - And, the Scroll is a proven performer with over 10 years in development and testing, and years of production. The Scroll has undergone over 400,000 hours of laboratory testing and field operation. This work combined with 14 patents makes Trane the worldwide leader in air conditioning scroll compressor technology. Heat Exchanger Technology *Built to Last*... Voyager™ Commercial utilizes the same exceptional heat exchanger technology you've come to trust in the original Voyager™. The drum and tube design was developed for increased efficiency, better reliability, and long life. *The Voyager™ Commercial heat exchanger utilizes aluminized steel and stainless steel components for maximum durability using drum and tube technology proven in our industrial quality package units. The American National Standards Institute (Z21.47) requires that heat exchangers be cycle tested 10,000 times, the same cycle test standard required by UL and AGA. Trane demands that their design be tested to 2.5 times the ANSI standard and has actually tested and passed over 150,000 cycles... that's over 15 timers the ANSI cycling requirement. System Control *Inlet Guide Vane Control* - Forward Curved (FC) fans with Inlet Guide Vanes have always been the hallmark of Trane commercial rooftops. This combination offers superior operating efficiencies comparable to inverter driven fans for a fraction of the cost. Voyager™ Commercial offers Trane's time-tested Inlet Guide Vane design as a standard option. *Variable Frequency Drives* - Its only fitting that a "cutting edge" product offer "cutting edge" fan modulation technology. Factory installed and tested Variable Frequency Drives are available to provide the ultimate in fan energy savings to your building. VFDs coupled with Voyager™ Commercial's excellent Integrated Part Load Values are certain to yield some of the most economical operating costs in the industry. h2. Factory Run Testing There's a saying in manufacturing that "you can't 'test-in' quality" and that is true. But, would you buy a car that had never been started? Neither would we and that's why we run test every Voyager™ Commercial unit that comes off our assembly line. So, whether you're the contractor, the engineer, or the owner you can be certain that when you've chosen Voyager™ Commercial you've chosen... Simply The Best Value. h2. Lower Installed Cost Dedicated Downflow or Horizontal Models - Less time spent getting a unit ready to go on a roof means a lower installed cost. Our dedicated downflow and horizontal unit configurations eliminate the need for time consuming field conversions. *Ventilation Override* - Remember the days when service technicians spent hours starting up and checking out each unit just to provide "ventilation purge"? Voyager™ Commercial's factory installed and tested Ventilation Override eliminates extensive and expensive commissioning. A simple contact closure is all it takes to initiate the ventilation override sequence. h2. Service Features *Micro Diagnostics* - The Micro's diagnostics can provide valuable service information about the condition of the unit and are especially helpful when used in conjunction with an Integrated Comfort™ System. Also, a simple jumper applied to the low voltage terminal board can place the unit in "test mode" for easy problem diagnosis. *Hinged Service Access Option* - All regular maintenance items are available on one side of the unit and are easily accessible. Unit service can be even more painless when you select the optional Hinged Service Access panel option. h2. Integrated Comfort Systems *Tracker®* - A Tracker® building management panel provides microelectronic control and monitoring of HVAC systems in small commercial buildings. Tracker® communicates with packaged HVAC equipment, like Voyager™ Commercial (Constant Volume Only), zone controllers and auxiliary points on a communications link, creating a total Integrated Comfort™ System. *Tracker®* software provides scheduling, monitoring and timed override capabilities, as well as local and auto dial-out indication of alarms. Operator interface is simple and user friendly with use of icons on the keypad and a two-line liquid crystal display (LCD). *VariTrac®* - Comfort quality is a common problem in offices with only one thermostat for several rooms. People in sunny exposure rooms will be too hot while people in the shady rooms will be too cold. This lack of responsiveness is the major failure of a single zone comfort system. Now there's a system that can respond to various comfort needs - Trane VariTrac®. VariTrac® is an electronic control system which provides a thermostat for every comfort zone and the intelligence to control their comfort. By using microelectronic technology Trane can provide cost effective variable air volume comfort to traditional single zone office buildings. The thermostat allows the VariTrac® air damper to carefully monitor and cool the temperature of each zone. This not only gives each zone independent control by distributing intelligence to every VariTrac® air damper, but also allows each individual to control the zone to the temperature most comfortable to them. Simply put, it allows flexibility for everyone. *Tracer®* - The Tracer®/Voyager™ Commercial Rooftop Unit Integrated Comfort™ System provides the ultimate in centralized control, monitoring, energy management and equipment diagnostic functions. The system consists of a Tracer® building management panel and Voyager™ Commercial Rooftop units with Micro based Unitary Control Processors (UCP) and a Trane Communications Interface (TCI). Tracer® provides the ability to monitor and control the operation of each rooftop unit and coordinate their operation with other HVAC equipment.
